Aaron Yates kicks arse, unfortunately he wasn't on his Yoshimura GSX-R1000 at the time. That was left to fellow Yosh' teammate Mat Mladin who adds Daytona 200 win number three to his AMA win tally.
Plenty of attrition this year with Ben Bostrom having some clutch/drivechain problems forcing him out on lap 28. Brother Eric, after leading for quite a while, eventually succumbed to a fragged front tire and a holed oil cooler on lap 43.
Miguel Duhamel ran strong all day and attempted a last lap draft on fellow CBR1000RR pilot, Jake Zemke but had to settle for a 3rd place podium finish.
Top privateer, Larry Pegram, retired with a rear wheel problem.
